Mother's Day

This year more than any Mother's day was a bittersweet moment in time. After losing my grandma Betty and my Grandpa Arnold this year I struggled with this day. As my grandma Betty was laid to rest today, on the day that was her birthday and this year also Mother's Day I feel glad for the time I had with her, sad my kids did not know her the way I did and at peace knowing she is free now from the prison of living life with Alzheimer's.  I also feel thankful to spend this day with my grandma Janet, but overwhelmed with sadness that this is a first to not have grandpa by my side. Overall, I am so thankful to have my beautiful kiddos and loving husband to make each day a day filled with love.  Blessed beyond words!
